Cost Effectiveness of Banners

Cost Effectiveness of Banners

We see banners and a-frames everywhere we go. On sidewalks, at roadsides, on fences on buildings and at parades and special events we even see them on cars. Why do we see so many? Because they are inexpensive, light weight and changeable.
A-frames come in a variety of sizes, shapes, colors and durability. From a small 18”x24” angle iron a-frame you see real estate agents use to advertise an open house, to a 24”x36” wind sign with a weighted base and springs to allow the sign to move in the wind without tipping over on a beach boardwalk. The inexpensive inserts can be used on both sides, can be changeable, and can even have changeable letters on track. There is a great deal of versatility. You can have inserts for different seasons, sales and events and swap them out regularly and easily.
Banners offer a whole different kind of versatility. They are inexpensive ($5-15/sqft) compared to substrate signs ($11-150/sqft). They can be taken down, rolled up and stored easily and used again next year or next week. You can even change some content like dates and places. Depending on where they will be hung, for how long and under what seasonal conditions you can get several years use from one banner. The banner materials themselves come in roll stock so there is a lot of versatility with size. With today’s digital print capabilities banners are no longer labor intensive: print, hem, grommet, done!
But be aware: many cities and towns have laws regulating the use of temporary signs. Some will offer temporary permits good from anywhere from 30 days to 1 year. Some will charge a fee for the permit, others will not. It’s best to find out before you make your purchase. Otherwise, you may end up buying something you can’t use. Your local sign shop should be able to tell you what the by-laws are in surrounding towns.
So before you spend a lot of money on sign be sure to give Dawn’s Sign Tech of North Andover a call at (978)208-0012  so we can help you make the right choice for your temporary and re-useable signs today.
